Pivot charts are graphical representations of the data in pivot tables. In Vizubi you can create pivot charts without having to create a report first. The underlying data for pivot charts is contained in a separate worksheet which is automatically named: Data for Vizubi_Chart_1 and is numbered sequentially.
Load the AdventureWorksDW.ndb

Open the Vizubi database called “Vizubi AdventureWorksDW.ndb” saved at the end of the Vizubi AdventureWorks tutorial 2: create a report. Or you can download it from here.
Open Excel.
(1) Click on the Vizubi tab.

2) Click on Create Pivot Chart. The Create Report window opens. Leave “In this worksheet” selected and click OK.
Select data to put into the chart

When you create a Pivot Chart, you need to select the data you want to see in the chart. You do this in exactly the same way you create pivot tables:
1) Select the Sales Amount field from the Fact Internet Sales table and the EnglishCountryRegionName from the DimGeography table.
2) Drag and drop the EnglishEducation field to the Column Labels pane.
3) Click on the chart and drag the lower right hand corner until it fills the empty area on the screen.
4) Click on Save As and save the report chart as SalesByCountryAndEducation.
View and modify the data in the chart

Data for pivot charts created in Vizubi is on a separate worksheet which is linked to the chart. You can modify the data in the Pivot Chart directly from the worksheet where you have put the chart OR from the worksheet where you have the data.
1) Click on the Data for Vizubi_Chart_1 tab.
2) The data are organized in a pivot table.
Changing the fields on the data worksheet will also change the chart. In this example, remove the EnglishEducation field from the Column Labels pane.
3) Click on the EnglishEducation field in the Column Labels pane.
4) Click on Remove field.
5) Click on Sheet1 (where we created the Pivot chart). The Pivot chart reflects the changes you made to the data.
