In Vizubi there are two different types of sorts:
-You can sort the data in the columns of the tables loaded in the Vizubi Editor.
-You can sort the data in the columns of your reports in Excel.
These two types of sorts are totally independent of each other. This means that when you sort inside the Vizubi editor there are no changes to the sorts inside the reports and vice versa.

(1) Click on the Vizubi tab in the ribbon.
(2) Click on the Open button in the Database group.
(3) Browse until you find "C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\Vizubi\SampleData\" then select "getting started.ndb".
(4) Click on the Open button to load the file.
Open the Vizubi Editor
(1) Click on the Edit button in the Database group of the ribbon. This will open the Vizubi Editor.
Sorting the columns in the Visubi Editor
(1) Click on the country column in the Invoices table. The Column Tools tab is activated.
(2) Click on the Sort A to Z button in the Sort and filter group of the ribbon to sort data in the selected column in alphabetical order (you can also sort in reverse alphabetical order by clicking on the Sort Z to A button).
(3) You can clear the sort by clicking on the Clear Sort button. The sort order will return to the original order.
NB: The data is sorted only in the tables of Vizubi Editor not in the reports.
Sort columns in the reports
(1) Click on Country in the Invoices table.
Click on the Sort Z to A button in the Presentation group of the ribbon to sort data in the selected column in reverse alphabetical order in your report.
NB: This kind of sort will only have effect on reports which contain the column you sorted. Tables in the Vizubi Editor are not affected.
(2) Although we sorted the data, the sort order shown in the editor remains unchanged.
NB: This sort order will be the default sort order for that column in any report in which you add that column first.
Go back to Excel
(1) Click on the Home tab in the ribbon.
(2) Click in Switch to Workbook to go back to Excel.
Open a report which contains the column you sorted
(1) Click the upper part of the Report button in the Reports group of the ribbon. The Select Report window opens.
(2) Double click on My first report (previously created in Getting Started 1: My first report ).
NB: the sort order of the reports in Vizubi is driven by the first column added to the report. The country column was the first column to be added to this report and therefore the report is ordered in reverse alphabetical order by country.
View the results
(1) The Country field is sorted Z to A as defined in the Vizubi Editor.
Sort columns on fields in the Section pane
You can also sort data in columns of the report as follows:
(1) Click on Country in the Row Labels pane. A dropdown menu opens.
(2) Click on Sort A to Z.
(3) The report is now sorted by Country in alphabetical order.
(4) Click on Remove sort to return to the previous sort order.
Sorting when building a report
When you create a new report the sort of the table depends on the first field added in the Areas Section.
For example My first report is sorted by the field Country (if you check Getting Started 1 you can see that the first field added to create the report was Country).
Now we’ll create a new report but add a different field first:
(1) Click on Sheet2 at the bottom of the Excel worksheet.
(2) Click on the bottom part of the Report button in the Reports group of the ribbon. A dropdown menu opens.
(3) Click on Create a new report…
Adding columns in a different order changes the way the report is sorted
(1) First add TotalPrice in the Values pane.
(2) Then add Country in the Row Labels pane.
(3) The report is now ordered by Sum of TotalPrice because that column was added to the report first.
