With Vizubi, you can load data from multiple sources into the same table. All you have to do is use the append function when loading the second (third…) table or file and give the imported table the same name as the first table and that data will be loaded into the existing table.
This allows you to do things like loading the sales forecasts from all of your salesmen into a single table in Vizubi even if each salesman creates a separate excel workbook for their forecast.
Frequently ERP systems store data on the current year in one table and historical data from previous years on different tables. With Vizubi, loading all that data into the same table is a snap. The automatic generation of time dimensions will ensure that you can still compare data across different years, quarters etcetera.
As long as the names of the column headers are the same, you can load data from multiple sources into the same Vizubi table. The data can even come from different types of sources (e.g.; Excel, sql server, text etcetera). Even if some of the data sources have additional columns and if the columns are in a different order, Vizubi will still load data into the appropriate column. All you have to do is import the first table or file and then append all the other tables or files to that table.
NB that there is no check to ensure that the data loaded into an existing table is consistent with the data already loaded into the table. You must ensure that columns with the same names contain the same data.
