To all Vizubinauts: new version released - check it out.
The Vizubi team is pleased to announce the release of version 1.15. We recommend that you update the version of Vizubi you have installed as the new release resolves bugs and has useful new features. You can update Vizubi by clicking on free trial.
Report specific filters
Filters can be applied to a single report or to the whole workbook. Report specific filters are saved as part of the workbook. If you save the workbook, when you open it again, any report specific filters applied will be maintained. This is really useful when you want to compare the results of two different filters on the same report.
Report filters are not applied to new instances of the report.
See tutorial here: http://www.vizubi.com/2010/08/business-intelligence-report-specific-filters/.
Refresh active worksheet or whole workbook
You can choose to refresh the active worksheet or the entire workbook during a session. When saving the workbook you can choose to refresh all of the worksheets.
This option lets you work on a worksheet without refreshing all of the reports in your workbook which greatly improves performance if you have lots of complex reports. You can choose to update all of the reports when you save the workbook. This guarantees that workbooks that are sent to users who do not have access to the Vizubi database will still get an updated workbook.
You can change these settings in the options window under “Refresh Reports”. The default setting is to update all worksheets.
Other features
When filtering on “null” values, the filter panel and filter data button show this more clearly
Additional numeric formats have been added.
Bug fixes
Fields removed from tables are now eliminated from filter bookmarks as well.
A series of other bugs have also been resolved; thanks to all of you for your input.
